![]() It's also a good idea to plan and ensure that Energy doesn't drop when unnecessary (such as traveling in better weather conditions than worse), along with carrying Oxygen tanks and looking for events that regain Sanity. It is a good idea for a player to equally focus on all three stats. ![]() All three stats are important, but a newer player may end up getting overwhelmed, and cause one of the stats to plummet far lower than they should go. ![]() ![]() 1 The Stats Can Be A ProblemĪ player has three stats to keep an eye on, that being their Energy, their Sanity, and their Oxygen. However, not having an oxygen tank would greatly decrease the player's chances of survival, so being prepared is key. The Death Zone is one of the hardest parts of the game and much of a player's survival, unfortunately, depends on random chance. These tanks, as to be expected from the title, give oxygen to the player, and a player should at least have one with them by the time they go for the Death Zone. Oxygen tanks are an essential resource for a player to have while playing Insurmountable. Again, there is a chance of a player hitting a negative event (although, in the end, it will still make the player improve as they learn what not to do). These events may end up giving players items, experience, or consumables to use on their travel. These events are randomized, and a player will not really know what they're going to get until they experience it for themselves. While playing through Insurmountable, there will be quite a few events that fans will encounter during their gameplay. Luckily, there is no level cap for a player to worry about, meaning they can continue to slowly level up and gain perks. These levels and perks can be quite helpful during gameplay, such as increasing how filling canned food is. It's worth noting that, whenever players level up, they will gain tiny perks these perks, once they are first acquired, will be slowly upgraded the more a player levels up (which can be done by gaining experience from events) and players will pick between one of three or four skills each level. Not having a tent is a minor setback, but it's one that a player may end up getting stuck on if they do not prepare accordingly ahead of time. This is important because tents are one of the player's best sources of shelter.Īs such, anyone who plays as a Journalist will have to start seeking more caves at first in order to find shelter. 5 Journalists Don't Start With TentsĪlthough many players will want to play as the Journalist, it's worth noting that Journalists do not start off with a tent, unlike with the other two classes. It's just a good idea, in general, to ensure that a player manually looks through the tiles. Oftentimes, players have found out that the game will take them to tiles that may not be so good for their run, or may actively harm them. The AI in Insurmountable when it comes to automatically running to tiles is.not good. However, many players have agreed that using this automatic option is not the way to go. There is an option for a player to let the game automatically choose what tiles they should walk upon. Weather and danger tiles are one of the worst things a player can deal with. If a player is forced to travel at night, or during bad weather, this starting skill will definitely end up saving them more often than not. As Insurmountable is all about moving from tile to tile, what the Journalist has to offer is very useful.Įssentially, the Journalist's starting skill ensures that a player can ignore weather tiles and danger tiles. It has been well proven by many players that the Journalist class has the best starting skill in the entire game. However, despite the challenge of the game appealing to many people, there are others who may end up getting stuck along the way and will need to get out with a few beginner tips to set them on the right path.
